By downloading, installing, or using PromoGig, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
To provide you with a high-quality experience, we collect several categories of information:
- Account Details: When you register or sign in using Firebase Authentication, we collect details such as your email address, password, full name, and profile picture.
- User-Generated Content: We collect and store posts, text, pictures, videos, and comments that you create and upload to our Cloud Firestore database and Firebase Storage.
- Device Access (Media and Camera): In order to upload post attachments or set a custom profile image, the app will request access to your device's Camera and Photo Library (using the system pickers). We do not read files or photos from your gallery unless you explicitly choose and submit them.
- Device & Usage Data: We may collect non-personal data including your device's operating system version, system language, crash reports, and basic usage logs to help optimize app performance.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To authenticate your identity and provide secure access to your account.
- To display and share your public posts, videos, and comments within the app.
- To deliver push notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
- To process customer support requests and troubleshoot app issues.
- To detect, prevent, and address security threats, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service.
Third-Party Services & Integrations
We utilize trusted third-party SDKs and service providers to operate parts of our application. These include:
- Google Play Services: Used to run the application on Android devices.
- Firebase Authentication & Cloud Services: Used for secure user log-in, profile storage, data hosting, and image/video uploads.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used to send push notifications to your device.
These third-party platforms process data in compliance with their own strict privacy policies.
Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
To request deletion of your account, you can use the in-app "Delete Account" setting, or email our support team directly at support@promogig.com. Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete your account registration, uploaded photos, videos, and database profile within 30 days.
Data Security
The security of your information is important to us. All personal data and uploads are stored securely within Firebase Cloud Hosting, using transport layer encryption (SSL/TLS) for data transfer. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our app does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
